We take our data protection responsibilities seriously and this privacy notice sets out how we and the other members of our Founders Pledge Group, Founders Pledge Inc and Founders Pledge GmbH, process your personal data. How do we use your data?

  1. Account. If you create an account with us to join our community, we collect information including your name, contact details and company details. We collect these details to fulfil our contractual obligations to you.

  2. Contact us. If you contact us with an enquiry, we collect information including your name, contact details and company details because it is in our legitimate interest to make sure we can properly respond to your query.

  3. News updates. We will handle your personal information such as your name and email address to provide you with our news updates in line with any preferences you have told us about. When we send you our news updates because you have opted-in to receive them, we rely on your consent to contact you. If we contact you by email and you haven't opted-in, this is because we believe you will be interested in the Founders Pledge community, and the lawful basis we rely on to do this is our legitimate interest to promote our business.

  4. You can unsubscribe from our updates at any time by responding to any email you receive from us to tell us you wish to unsubscribe or by contacting us at info@founderspledge.com.

  5. Job applications. If you apply for a job with us, we collect information including your name, contact details and recruitment information such as your right to work documentation, references and qualifications. We will use this information to assess your suitability for our available roles. We do this to perform our contractual obligations or to take steps before entering into a contract. Where we process your right to work documentation, we will do so to comply with our legal obligations.

Who do we share your data with?

We may share the name and email addresses of business professionals with Pledge Ventures Limited (company number 14306490 and registered address of 20 St Thomas Street, London, SE1 9RS) based on our legitimate interests of building our membership community. And Pledge Capital may then contact you to enquire if you are interested in their products and services. If you would like to opt out of the Founders Pledge Ltd sharing your data with Pledge Capital Limited, please contact our team at info@founderspledge.com.

We may also share your data with the following third parties:

  • members of our Founders Pledge Group;
  • professional advisors such as our lawyers, bank, auditors or insurers;
  • law enforcement, government and regulatory agencies or to other third parties as required by, and in accordance with, applicable law or regulation; and
  • our suppliers or sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with you.

Where do we store your data?
